Drawing upon evidence of the brain’s neuroplasticity, Neurocore CEO Mark Murrison says both adults and children have been pleased with the nonmedical solutions that Neurocore, founded in 2004, has to offer.
“While many people rely on medications to treat conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHA, migraines, memory challenges, or sleep problems, we offer a safe, effective, drug-free alternative,” Murrison says.
Based in Grand Rapids, Neuorcore has nine Brain Performance Centers in Michigan and Florida that specialize in neurodiagnostic assessments to help identify how efficiently the brain is performing. Neurocore provides customized training programs using neurofeedback and biofeedback to strengthen the brain without medications.
“Neurofeeback is like physical therapy for the brain, with zero side effects and lasting results,” Murrison says. “We provide a solution that, unlike medication, doesn’t simply mask symptoms but treats the underlying issue at its source — the brain.”
Murrison says the Neurocore team includes a nationally recognized neurologist, psychologists, and social workers who have helped thousands of people reduce symptoms of anxiety, ADHD, and depression. “Imbalances in the brain’s electrical activity or its intricate communication networks may cause problems ranging from anxiety to depression or memory loss,” Murrison says. “At Neurocore, we work on strengthening the brain with the goal of reducing symptoms or eliminating them altogether.”
Post-program self-reported evaluations indicate that a 30-session course of treatment has helped many adults reduce their fear and anxiety, and has helped children become more attentive and focused across multiple areas including school, social situations, and sports.
Neurocore recently launched a program called Memory Bootcamp, to strengthen the aging brain. The goal of this program is to help participants care for the aging brain and, through neurofeedback, exercise, diet, and sleep modifications, tackle their mental sharpness goals.
With a wide range of executive leadership experience, Murrison is pleased to offer his expertise to such an important endeavor. “Neurocore helps children and adults optimize their brains so they can function at their best,” he says.
