Design Awards 2011 - Readers' Choice

Along with decisions rendered by the 2011 Detroit Home Design Awards panel of judges, readers were invited to vote for Best Overall Home at detroithomemag.com. They selected this stately manor-style home with Old World, French Normandy architecture. The all-stone house, designed and built by VanBrouck & Associates Inc. and Olde World Homes, needed to fit into an established neighborhood of traditional residences. Sited to capture golf-course and lake views, it has extensive outdoor spaces, including wraparound stone loggias and flickering gas lanterns.
