Dove, who holds a Master of Architecture from UCLA, has designed kitchens from California to Italy. After working for a kitchen-design firm in Colorado, he returned to his native New Jersey. Dove has won two national design awards, has been published in national magazines, and has appeared on HGTV’s Kitchen Trends.

In addition to his professional practice, Alter keeps a foot in academia, where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in design, construction, and theory at the University of Texas at Austin. Turner joined House Beautiful as style director in 2006, and was named to its top editorial position in 2010. Before joining Hearst Magazines, Turner was the founding editor-in-chief of Cottages & Gardens publications with magazines in the Hamptons, Palm Beach, and Connecticut. Since 1985, he has covered design for other publications, including House & Garden, Metropolitan Home, and HomeStyle.
